jotronics/esp-idf-firmware

The firmware pipeline of every ESP-IDF project on the jotronics platform, as a Forgejo Actions composite action: version and channel, build, manifest check, size budget, keep the ELF, sign and publish. Only main and tags publish; other branches (Renovate's) are built and checked, and get the solved dependencies.lock pushed into them.

One repository per pipeline type (more will follow, e.g. Go services), each with its own version: Renovate (on hs1) opens PRs only in the repositories that use the changed one. Use: see the comment at the top of action.yml.

Release:

git tag v1.2.1 && git push origin main v1.2.1  # origin = https://git.jotronics.de/jotronics/esp-idf-firmware.git

Versions: patch for fixes, minor for new inputs (old workflows keep working), major when the workflows have to change. (Until v1.1.1 the repository was lab/ci, the action in firmware/.)
